Disclaimer

We reserve the right to accept or decline a project if it's of our interest. We have rarely refused to do a job. Prices are non-negotiable. New clients, please refrain from asking for discounts; there is no wholesale discount. Possible discounts are only offered for frequent clients and VIPs.

Why are plushies so expensive?

Countless times it has been quoted, but we will do it once again: “Art” is not an essential item; therefore its value is due to the artist's experience, working hours, and quality of materials that have been implemented to create a piece exclusively and only for you. Our plushies and soft sculptures are handmade, only using technology to highlight certain details to make unique pieces. The costs of the materials we use is high, thee are of the highest quality. Big part of what we earn from commissions is invested in the implementation and renovation of our workshop and tools, as well as the payment of government taxes, import and export taxes, currency exchange, and PayPal taxes.

The pieces are made in a smoke-free workshop, using N95 masks, and none of our pets have direct contact with the materials.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES do we discuss or accept business with minors. If you are a minor and wish to place an order, we recommend that your parents contact us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Payments and waiting time for each piece

At Nero Fledermaus, we work with a waiting list, which is divided according to the way customers have made their payments.

Full upfront payment.

A full upfront payment refers to paying the entire amount due for a product or service all at once, before receiving the goods or services. This kind of order usually takes a month to 4 months, depending on the complexity and size of the piece.

50/50 payment.

Only on special occasions due to the cost of the plush. A 50/50 payment refers to splitting the total cost of a product or service into two equal payments. Typically, the first 50% is paid upfront, and the remaining 50% is paid later, often upon delivery of the product or completion of the service. OC characters or fursonas are not accepted in this category unless you are a frequent customer or VIP. It usually takes up to 4 months depending on the list and “full upfront” payments that have entered before paying the first 50%.

Payment in installments.

These usually take proportionally to how long it takes the customer to finish their payments. Example: If the customer takes 6 months, that is how long it can take to finish our part after the full payment is done, or it can be extended depending on the current waiting list, giving priority to the other payments. It lists until the full amount is paid in full. Payment in installments refers to breaking down the total cost of a product or service into smaller, more manageable payments spread over a certain period of time. Instead of paying the full amount upfront, you agree to pay a portion of the cost at regular intervals, such as weekly, monthly, or quarterly, until the total amount is paid off.

The turnaround is proportional to the current order list and the type of payment the customer decided. Only in-stock pieces can be shipped the “next Saturday” of the day it was purchased.

Cancellation/Refund

Cancellation it can only be done without "cancellation tax" within the first hour after the payment (always before 12 noon, CT USA and Mexico). After that, there is a 20% tax for cancellation. Since PayPal has a system with the Mexican government for us, every day at noon, PayPal deposits the payments directly to my bank. That means charges for currency exchange by PayPal; these taxes will beat the customer expense reason for a full refund, which is not possible.

Refund.

We are sorry, but we can't provide a full or partial refund of the plushie once it's delivered.

Shipping/Reshipment

Shipment.

Shipments are made biweekly, usually on Saturdays. All shipments made by certified mail take approximately 5 business days after the package is dropped off at the postal office to be reflected on the website. However, do not panic if it takes more days to show off. In our 12 years working with international shipments, we have not missed pieces, only delays or returns due to lack of data from our customers.

Reshipment.

All reshipments will be charged as long as it isn't due to our error. Please always check your addresses before making the payment. There is no limit on re-shipments; we don't mind taking your package as many times as necessary, but it is better for you not to pay extras.

Delivery.

Delivery time can vary significantly based on the destination and customs schedules and is NOT AT OUR REACH TO SOLVE. Here’s a breakdown of how these factors influence delivery times:

Destination

• Distance: The farther the destination, the longer the delivery time. International shipments typically take longer than domestic ones.

• Infrastructure: Locations with well-developed transportation networks (roads, airports, ports) usually have faster delivery times.

• Remote Areas: Deliveries to remote or rural areas may take longer due to limited transportation options and less frequent delivery services.

Customs Schedules

• Customs Clearance: International shipments must go through customs clearance, which can add time to the delivery process. This involves checking the shipment for compliance with local regulations, duties, and taxes.

• Inspection Delays: If customs officials decide to inspect the shipment more thoroughly, it can cause additional delays.

• Holidays and Weekends: Customs offices may have reduced hours or be closed on weekends and public holidays, which can delay the clearance process.

Additional Factors

• Shipping Method: The chosen shipping method (standard, express, overnight) also affects delivery time. Express services are faster but more expensive.

• Carrier Efficiency: Different carriers have varying levels of efficiency and reliability, which can impact delivery times.

Understanding these factors can help you better estimate delivery times and plan accordingly.

Methodology of work

Change of expression in the pieces.

It is only possible before Kamitori starts embroidering the first expression you chose for your plushie; after that, it will be an "extra" if you want to change it. Nero and Kamitori know how beautiful the illusion is and the great enthusiasm that is to be able to order your favorite character and have him in your hands to hug him and spend adventures together.

Work progression requests.

You can order WIPS once every 15 days after we started your order (Nero regularly notifies you before starting your order). Remember that we work with several pieces at once; we do not work exclusively on your piece. However, it is not acceptable to be harassed by clients, send daily messages to know how the order is going, nor is it acceptable to use hostile or sarcastic language to intimidate us into rushing the work. Any of these behaviors will result in a cancellation of the order (before work has started) with a "cancellation tax" or a "cancellation + working hours tax" (once work has started).

Processing and “WIPS”

Each piece is unique; therefore, the average turnaround may vary depending on the complexity and how Nero has mastered those patterns. The more requested characters are the easiest to make for Nero. New and complex patterns may be delayed due to adjustments in the creation process.

You have the right to send as many references as possible to make the plushie as close as it gets to your references. You can choose expressions, poses, and the body shape of your plushie, as long as it is at the “QUOTE” stage; after the final price has been given, there are no character changes.

Answering private messages.

Remember that Nero and Kamitori work mostly offline, and when they are creating, they cannot reply to you instantly unless they are online at the time. But don't worry; you can leave all your doubts and possible clarifications in the box, and as soon as they are on the social networks, they will answer you as soon as possible.

Repairs.

There is no cost for repairing damages suffered in transit pieces; in this case, all shipping costs fall under the sole responsibility of the customer.

These terms and conditions may be modified without prior notice, so it is the customer's responsibility to consult them periodically to keep up to date with changes.
